Being able to assess a person systematically will enable you to make an accurate decision on whether to call the doctor or send to hospital. If the information gathered is based on sound clinical reasoning, the clinician will be able to respond quickly and appropriately to disseminate the right information to the right people.
You will learn:
- Introduction to Assessment
- How to do a complete physical assessment to determine the current status for people with a cardiac event
- What does an ECG tell you? How to interpret what you see
- How to assess a persons respiratory status
- Listening to chest sounds and what do they tell you
- How to report your assessment result to the doctor
